Getting to the Carlsbad KOA is easy as the park is located just off of Highway 285. Visitors can access the park from the north or south entrances and there are no restrictions on rig sizes. Private vehicles are the most common mode of transportation for visitors although there are also shuttle services available from the nearby town of Carlsbad.
RV parking is plentiful at the park with designated areas for RVs throughout. Overnight parking outside of designated campsites is not allowed. It’s recommended to camp with an RV and explore the area using alternative transportation methods.
Shuttle buses are available for transportation within the park making it easy to get around without a car. Walking paths are also plentiful providing a scenic and eco-friendly way to explore the park.
