Our 2018 Coachmen Freelander Micro - affectionately named The Fab Freelander - lets you take your favorite creature comforts with you, so you can enjoy the outdoors without all the hassle. Its size is perfect for first-time RV renters, especially those with young families. The Fab Freelander gives you the best of large RV features minus the anxiety/complexity that comes with a bigger rig; you get to enjoy full size beds, plenty of storage, a dining area, and a full bathroom, etc. without the hassle of slideouts and driving a larger vehicle. It has seatbelts for up to 6 passengers, and sleeps either 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 small kids comfortably. A built-in screen door, tons of windows, a retractable awning, and an outdoor TV entertainment center ensure you’ll be able to enjoy your next trip comfortably.

We’ve also added tons of upgrades to make your experience as relaxing as possible. Enjoy Apple TV, Nespresso coffee maker (pods included), air fryer, reusable dishes, premium cookware, premium Casper pillows, extra comfy Serta mattress with a cooling memory foam topper, complimentary bed linens (for the main bed), cozy blankets, and throw pillows during your trip. We also provide all of your hookup equipment for getting electricity, water, and sewage access at your destination.

And yes, bring your pup, too! No added cost - just a fully refundable pet deposit.

What's included

We provide just about everything you need for your time in the rig, including dishes, cookware, basic spices, dog bowls, Brita pitcher, Nespresso machine & pods, air fryer, sheets, comforter, 4 pillows cleaning supplies, RV toilet paper, electrical and sewage connection supplies.

The Fab Freelander will come ready to go with enough propane for your trip, full tank of gas, treated black water tank, and empty gray water tanks.

Delivery and pick-up within a 50 mile radius is available (additional fee applies).

Check-In is at 3 PM and check-out is at noon. Early check-in and late check-out are available in some cases. Please confirm with us beforehand. During check-in, we will have a brief orientation of the van which will take approximately 1 hour - please take this into consideration when planning your trip. Check-out will be much quicker and only requires an inspection of the vehicle for damage and mutual signatures on the return form.

Recommendations

We love taking our rig to the Texas Hill Country to check out wineries, breweries, hang out with our forever puppy, Daisy, take in the scenic views and just relax. We've also traveled quite a bit throughout Texas and the Southern US. The Fab Freelander is perfect for parking in a full hook-up RV park or boondocking (dry camping) at your favorite location. It's also a perfect rig to keep you comfortable during hunting season! Let us know where you're headed and we would love to provide you recommendations of things to do on the way or when you get there.

Our check-in location is 3 miles away from Austin Bergstrom International Airport, so our location is perfect for folks who flew in.

If you're coming into Austin from out of town, here are some of the highlights to see in the area:

Our motto is just to leave it how you found it! ... so please, keep it clean and tidy.

No smoking of any kind is allowed in the van and while we love all pets, we are only dog-friendly (we're allergic to cats). We will provide clear directions in a google doc to show you everything you need to know about the van. We definitely recommend you take a look at these resources so you can have a great trip!

We have each lived in Texas for most of our lives and both attended Texas A&M University; however, we love to travel and have been all over the U.S., Caribbean, Europe, and even to China. In the past year, we have been to Antigua, Denver, CO, Destin, FL, New Orleans, LA, and Birmingham, AL. Travel is one of the things we missed most during the COVID-19 pandemic, but we found a way to see the world through taking road trips.
