Assateague State Park is accessible by private vehicles via two entrances one on the Maryland side and one on the Virginia side. Visitors can take Route 611 to the Maryland entrance or Route 175 to the Virginia entrance. RV renters should be aware of the park’s restrictions on rig sizes as vehicles over 35 feet in length are not permitted on the island. Additionally there are no hookups for RVs in the park so renters should come prepared with their supplies.
