Driving/Transportation
Grasslands National Park is accessible by private vehicle with two entrances available the West Block and the East Block. Visitors can access the West Block via Highway 4 and the East Block via Highway 18. However it’s important to note that there are restrictions on rig sizes with a maximum length of 40 feet for RVs and trailers. Additionally some roads within the park may be closed due to weather conditions so visitors should check the park’s website for up-to-date information before heading out.

Parking area
RV parking is available in the park but it’s important to note that there are no hookups for water electricity or sewage. Designated RV parking areas can be found in the West Block’s Frenchman Valley Campground and the East Block’s Rock Creek Campground. Overnight parking is only permitted in these designated areas and not throughout the park. While camping with an RV is possible visitors may find it more enjoyable to explore the park using alternative transportation methods such as hiking or biking.

Public Transportation
Grasslands National Park offers limited public transportation options but there are walking paths available for visitors to explore. The park’s East Block features two self-guided interpretive trails the Badlands Parkway and the Valley of 1000 Devils. Shuttle buses are not available within the park so visitors will need to arrange their own transportation or use the park’s walking paths to get around.
