James River State Park is easily accessible by private vehicles and visitors can enter the park from different entrances. The main entrance is located off of Route 611 and there are also entrances off of Route 606 and Route 626. RV renters should be aware of the park’s restrictions on rig sizes which vary depending on the entrance and campground. The maximum length for RVs is 45 feet and the maximum width is 12 feet. Additionally some campgrounds have limitations on the number of slide-outs allowed. Visitors are encouraged to check the park’s website for specific details before their trip.
