This is the most popular campground within the state park offering 125 sites for tents RVs and trailers. The campground is located near the lake providing easy access to fishing swimming and boating. Each site comes with a fire pit and picnic table and amenities include hot showers flush toilets and a dump station. Pets are welcome and the campground is open from mid-May to mid-October. RVs and trailers up to 40 feet are permitted.

Lone Pine Campsites

Located just a few miles from the state park Lone Pine Campsites is a family-owned campground that offers 100 sites for tents RVs and trailers. The campground features a swimming pool playground and recreation hall as well as fishing and boating on the nearby Lake Carmi. Each site comes with a fire pit and picnic table and amenities include hot showers flush toilets and a laundry facility. Pets are welcome and the campground is open from May 1 to October 1

RVs and trailers up to 45 feet are permitted.

Maple Grove Campground

This campground is located on the eastern shore of Lake Carmi and offers 60 sites for tents RVs and trailers. The campground features a sandy beach boat launch and fishing pier as well as hiking trails and a playground. Each site comes with a fire pit and picnic table and amenities include hot showers flush toilets and a dump station. Pets are welcome and the campground is open from mid-May to mid-October. RVs and trailers up to 35 feet are permitted.

Camping Cabins at Lake Carmi

If you’re looking for a more rustic experience these camping cabins are a great option. Located within the state park the cabins sleep up to six people and come with a fire pit picnic table and outdoor grill. There are no bathrooms or kitchens in the cabins but they are located near the campground’s hot showers and flush toilets. Pets are welcome and the cabins are open from mid-May to mid-October.

Goodridge Grove

This first-come-first-served campground is located on the eastern shore of Lake Carmi and offers 14 sites for tents and small RVs or trailers. The campground is open from mid-May to mid-October and features a boat launch fishing pier and hiking trails. Pets are welcome.

Cedar Point

Located on the western shore of Lake Carmi this first-come-first-served campground offers 10 sites for tents and small RVs or trailers. The campground is open from mid-May to mid-October and features a swimming beach boat launch and fishing pier. Pets are welcome.

Maidstone State Park

While not technically within Lake Carmi State Park Maidstone State Park is located just a few miles away and offers 44 first-come-first-served campsites for tents and RVs or trailers up to 35 feet. The campground is open from mid-May to mid-October and features hiking trails a swimming beach and a boat launch. Pets are welcome.

Private Campgrounds

If the campsites within Lake Carmi State Park are full there are several private campgrounds nearby that cater to RV renters. These include Lone Pine Campsites Maple Grove Campground and Camping Cabins at Lake Carmi.

Backcountry Camping

For a more rugged camping experience backcountry camping is allowed in the nearby Maidstone State Forest. Permits are required and can be obtained from the Vermont Department of Forests Parks and Recreation.
