Getting to Lake Vermillion Recreation Area Transportation Options and Rig Size Restrictions Lake Vermillion Recreation Area is easily accessible by private vehicle with several entrances located around the park. Visitors can choose from two main entrances the north entrance which is located off Highway 385 and the south entrance which is located off Highway 44. When it comes to RV travel it’s important to note that there are restrictions on rig sizes. The park can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length but some campsites may have smaller size restrictions. It’s always a good idea to check with the park before heading out to ensure that your rig will fit. In addition to private vehicle travel there are also several shuttle services available in the area as well as taxis and rideshare options. However keep in mind that these services may be limited especially during the off-season.

RV parking is available at designated areas throughout the park. However overnight parking outside of campsites is not permitted. It’s recommended to camp with an RV and use alternative transportation methods to explore the park.
