Getting to Newton Hills State Park Transportation Options and Rig Size Restrictions Visiting Newton Hills State Park is easy with several transportation options available for visitors. The park is accessible by private vehicle and there are no restrictions on rig sizes. However some of the park’s roads may be narrow and winding so RV renters should exercise caution when driving. There are two main entrances to the park the East Entrance and the West Entrance. Both entrances are accessible from Interstate 29 which runs along the park’s eastern border. Visitors coming from the south can take Exit 127 and follow SD-34 east to the park’s East Entrance. Those coming from the north can take Exit 123 and follow SD-19 south to the park’s West Entrance.

RVs have multiple parking options within Newton Hills State Park. Designated areas are available for RV parking allowing visitors to stay overnight in designated campsites. However it’s not permissible to park RVs outside of these designated areas overnight. Exploring the park with alternative transportation methods while camping in an RV is highly recommended.
