. Visitors to Punalu’u Black Sand Beach Park can access the park via private vehicles as it is located off Highway 11 between mile markers 55 and 56. There are no restrictions on rig sizes but the parking lot can fill up quickly especially during peak season. Therefore it is recommended to arrive early to secure a parking spot. Public transportation is not available to the park so visitors will need to rely on private vehicles to get there.
