Introduction

Moab, Utah is a mecca for mountain bikers and outdoor enthusiasts alike, and there’s no better way to experience it than by RV. The RV trip to Moab was an unforgettable adventure, filled with breathtaking scenery, thrilling mountain biking trails, and the comfort of home on wheels.

Hitting the road in an RV was a game-changer for our Moab trip. No more worrying about hotel reservations or cramped car rides. Once we arrived in Moab, we set up camp at the Portal RV Resort. Located just minutes from downtown Moab and the entrance to Arches National Park, the resort offered stunning views of the red rock formations and easy access to the best mountain biking trails. The resort had a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, with spacious sites, clean facilities, and friendly staff.

Speaking of mountain biking trails, Moab has some of the best in the country. We spent our days exploring the Navajo Rocks and Fruita trails, both of which offered a mix of technical challenges and breathtaking scenery. The Navajo Rocks trail is a must-ride for any mountain biker, with its rolling slickrock and sweeping views of the Moab valley. The Fruita trails, on the other hand, offer a more flowy and fast-paced ride, with plenty of twists and turns to keep things exciting.

But the adventure didn’t stop at mountain biking. We also took a hike to Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, one of the most iconic landmarks in Utah. The hike was challenging, but the views at the top were worth every step. We stood in awe of the towering arch and the surrounding landscape, feeling grateful for the opportunity to experience such a magnificent sight.

Another highlight of the trip was riding the Sand Flats recreational area. It was a unique experience to ride our mountain bikes on the sandy terrain, with its rolling hills and technical rock features. We felt like kids again, playing in the sand and enjoying the freedom of the open space.

When we weren’t out exploring, we took advantage of the local eateries and shops in Moab. From farm-to-table restaurants to outdoor gear stores, Moab has something for everyone. We loved trying new foods and finding unique souvenirs to remember our trip by.

As we packed up our RV and hit the road, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of sadness that the trip was coming to an end. But at the same time, we felt excited for our next adventure and grateful for the memories we had made in Moab.
