Terra Nova National Park is easily accessible by private vehicle. Visitors can enter the park from three different entrances the North Entrance the South Entrance and the Eastern Entrance. There are no restrictions on rig sizes but RV renters should be aware that some roads in the park are narrow and winding. It’s also recommended to fill up on gas before entering the park as there are no gas stations within its boundaries.

RV parking is available in designated areas throughout the park. Overnight parking is restricted to designated campsites only. Camping with an RV and exploring the park using alternative transportation methods is highly recommended.

Public Transportation

Malady Head Campground is a smaller more secluded campground located near the southern end of the park. It has 78 sites including 29 with electrical hookups. Sandy Pond Campground is a smaller campground with 30 sites located near the western entrance of the park. It’s a great option for those who want to be close to the park’s hiking trails and wildlife viewing areas. Amenities include picnic tables fire pits and outhouses. The campground is pet-friendly and open from mid-May to mid-October. RVs and trailers up to 25 feet are permitted.
Clode Sound Campground is a smaller more rustic campground located near the northern end of the park. It has 20 sites including 5 with electrical hookups. The campground is situated in a forested area and offers beautiful views of Clode Sound. Activities include hiking fishing and wildlife watching. Amenities include pit toilets and picnic tables.
